Going Green and Reducing Costs

Green, LEED certification and carbon footprint are just few of many issues related to the extensive activity addressing the need of cutting energy consumption and costs. New technologies are being developed to address cooling challenges in data and computing centers. Airside or waterside economizers are pushing facilities to remote locations in order to enjoy and utilize natural climate conditions.

Price of land is another major cost issue. Building, leasing or buying space in business centers, where organizations would like to have their data and computing centers, is expensive. Consequently, data centers are being pushed out of their natural locations to remote places, where skilled personal and other required resources might be difficult to find.
